Has anyone bought GC games from here? Did you have to pay import tax?

I think the law is you can order around £18 of goods from abroad before you pay import duty which is as much a rip off as vat is.

Im about to order a wavebird controller from dvdboxoffice.com.
How long will it take to come?

Anyway, i've decided that I will import a Spice Orange pad from them sometime in the near future, just so I can have 3 totally different coloured controllers.

I would get them from SR, but there are obvious reasons why we cannot. :(

i had to pay £36 to the post man , before he would let me have my gamecube through the door , damn customs.

Speaking of the freeloader disk, it'll be interesting to see how the games actually play on the uk console. The whole 50/60Hz mode thing went over my (disinterested) head, but will it.. do.. anything? Screen banding - black bands at the top and bottom, even sides of the screen? Hmm, if it does go well though, dvdboxoffice will be getting a few more orders from me yet.

Just have to wait and see, i think.

No canadian games dont play on uk consoles or vice versa, but if you get the freeloader disc which will be released sometime soon (hopefully) it will be made possible. Also whilst import tax has been avoided by those buying games, a console is a different matter. The package is likely to be bulky and attract the attention of customs, so try to find out if it will still be worth your while if you get landed with import tax to pay.

I've bought a few GBA games from them, a few DVDs and a spice orange controller.

Also got a wavebird on order but they dont seem to be very quick with delivery...
