Because the live versions of them were the highlight of the concert.

On the CD, there is still Micro Cuts, Citizen Erased, Megalomania, Dark Shines, Screenager and Space Dementia and they were all on Origin, as well as Showbiz and Muscle Museum which were on Showbiz.

Newborn and Bliss were both absolutely fantastic on the DVD. The intro to Bliss especially. You don't get that on the Origin of Symmetry album.

Vottanator; I haven't actually bought it yet. I glanced at the tracks in Woolworths and it looks pretty cool, really. Whats the point in having Newborn, Bliss etc. on the album if they're already on Origin of Symmetry?
I'm looking forward to hearing the new CD.
If I can just scrape together £12.99.......

Hey Giblets, have you got the Hullabaloo soundtrack? Do you not think they chose all the worst songs for it? It's still really good but they left out Newborn, Plug In Baby, Sunburn and Bliss. I'm not sure what songs I'd have gotten rid of to make room for those but I definitely wouldn't put Agitated on there. That is a dismal song by Muse standards.

Hyper Chondriac Music is brilliant though. And Shrinking Universe is certainly good enough to be on either album.

Yeah okay Goaty, I've read something extremely similar to that from you before. It's nice to see you vary your arguments against Muse.

Oh and Deadstar and In Your World are nothing alike! Some of their stuff does sound similar to other songs they have done but certainly not Deadstar and In Your World.

How to make a song like Muse:

Intro - piano classical riff, preferably Belliose
8 bars - wild distorted fuzz guitar
Verse - drums & fuzz bass. Matt Bellamy "singing through a sqwauwk"
Chorus - all instruments in. Bellamy "eeeaaaAAWWWOOORRGGGHHHHhhhhh"
Verse - drums & fuzz bass. Matt Bellamy "singing through a sqwuawk"
Middle eight - piano riff, Belliose
Out - all instruments
Finish - piano riff, preferably Belliose

The End.

Hi... i am actually 'Ronaldinho_da_2nd', the guy who started the thread.

some of muses recent songs are becoming a little 'samey' but they still kick a lot of booty. In your world is great but sounds a lot like their single Deadstar. And their both on TV at the same time. So the public might get bored of hearing two samey songs all day.

But I still love them! (not physically of course)

I quite like MUSE. Being a huge Bowie fan I see MUSE as a modern day version of Bowie's early years. Mind you, they are bordering on becoming too "samey"
