Anyway, yes, you will still need a memory card. The on-board memory is only to store the game while you are playing it. If you want to save your position in a game to come back to it later (and you will, trust me!) then you need a memory card.
You *can* copy the software using a CD-writer, but that copy will *not* work on your PS2 without a mod-chip, and that is a risky business. Also, any games which come on DVD rather than CD will not copy unless you have a (currently expensive) DVD-writer.
So, in short, the answer is no, you can't copy the games.
In addition to the hardware, you'd also need a bit of technical knowledge, which - and I mean no offence by this - judging by your post, you don't have.
Does that mean you do not need those memory card thingies ?? And can you play it through the PC monitor
if so how ??
And can you copy the games (just for backup you understand ) with a cd writer and what software would one need????
