You are the only other person here that knows anything about that band mate, and I salute you.
"Hate Songs" was awesome, still holds up to any other indie/noise release today.
And yep, was and still am a massive Nailbomb fan.
Anything Alex Newport is involved in is worth listening, and "Tubesurfer" was a pretty cool side-band with the bass-player.

"Hate Songs in E-Minor", embarrassing the hell out of any band that thinks they're noisy.

Cheers Goatboy, that'd be cool.

Cheers, I'll take a look at that in a bit. I'm getting back into louder guitars recently so I might even be tempted to try some Nailbomb stuff.

BTW, did you ever listen to those techno/abstact hip hop style CDs I sent you? Were there any tracks on there that stood out? I'm in a mix CD mood and compiling some updated versions at the moment and was just curious.

Here you go Loki:

It's Alex Newport (Fudge Tunnel) website, all the info you need.
He's a producer now living in Phoenix.

CREEP DIET!!

That's the one I couldn't think of. A pinkish cover with an insect on.
Tipper Gore, 10% etc etc. Fantastic.

Their other stuff was fantastic.

Hate Songs
Creep Diet
The Complicated Futility of Ignorance
Assorted (B-sides, Peel Sessions and live performances)

If you can find the Teeth EP, get it. One of the most ferociously heavy, slow things on earth.
And I know what you mean about their appearance. Bass player and drummer in glasses, little Alex with his floppy hair.
Looked like students away from home.

And then they play.
A wall of drudgey sound slapping you in the face.

Nailbomb is superb, one of the best "metal" albums ever.
It's called "Point Blank".
Alex from Fudge Tunnel with Max Cavelera from Sepultura/Soulfly.
Industrial with trademark Tunnel MASSIVE guitars, and they take turns shouting over the top.
Best songs
"Religious Cancer", "World of S##t" and "S##t Pinata" (Pinata has the best lyrics ever..."Smile, it's nothing but teeth")

Religious Cancer is fantastic:

"So blind if you pray
Lost another day
Get off your knees, do something for yourself

It'll teach you nothing
About the world today
Take your beliefs
Throw them away"

I got Hate Songs in '91 (embarassingly enough, I think I read about them in Metal Hammer!) but it took me years to catch up and pick up Creep Diet and that's my lot. I've never listened to Creep Diet much (as when I'm in the mood I go straight for the 1st LP).

How much other stuff have they done and what's it like. And Nailbomb I know nothing about.

I remember seeing them supported by Pitchshifter at the Garage about 5 years ago. The great thing about it was that the guys in Fudge Tunnel just looked so nice and unassuming, but made this incredible noise without any fuss or posturing. That's why Fudge Tunnel rule and heavy metal sucks (in both the old cod-piece wearing and new spiky haired phony rapping variations).

Great sleeve notes on Hate Songs too.
