I've got them both too, infact they're the only racing games I have for my PC. There's always F12002 or GP4, if you look around you could probably find a demo of those games, so you can see if you like them or not.
If you are willing to wait, then there is Toca: Race Drive out in a few months, or Need for Speed: Motor city online out somtime later in the year. Both look promising.
You don't just grab the fastest car and bane it around track recklessly bouncing off other cars and mountain sides to the finish line. You have to adjust your car to be ready for the individual circuits, changing tyres, gears, suspension, wing angles, fuel loads etc. You have to plan a refueling strategy and pretty much everything from the real thing.
Plus when you're actually racing, you have to try to avoid hitting your opponents, and anything else, and use SKILL to perfect braking times for each corner of the track before you can seriously hope to win.
F1 games are among the few racing games I enjoy. Other than Super Mario Kart...
