First thing that i notice, is that the colour isn't that cool looking chrome colour like the Qcube , it's a dull grey like the original n64 control. Bit of dissapointment here , but i now think it's ok , but brighter colours would be better.
I put the batteries in , turn on my gamecube , put that reciever in , and thurn the control on , first little thing i notice is that a little green light flashed on the reciever when i turn the control on , nice touch that.
So i start to play smash bros , first thing i notice is how responsive the thing is ! It's the same , as the normal control , handling wise , but theres no rumble , but i dont like the rumble anyway.
I start to test how far i can play the game from, so i turn the sound right up , and go down the stairs , pres start to see if i can here the pause menu come up , and it does ! Test 1 complete. Then i go into the conservatory , press start and it does it again ! thats about 10 metres , maybe even more ! This control is ace ! Im thinking WOW !
Final thoughts ...
dont waste money on wired controls , whats the point when these are ten times better ! The colour may be a bit boring , but ninty are bound to bring out better colours. A MUST have !
So if you had 4 Wave Birds, connected your GC upto the main TV arial so it could be shown on ANY around the house, and you had 4 TV's....
you could have a massive 4-player Smash Bros. Melée game with each player looking at their own TV!
Hey, it's possible.... :)
I probably won't EVER get a WaveBird pad though.
I like the rumble and it would just annoy me with a rumbleless controller
