I've just signed up to Planetarion, and I don't have a clue what I'm doing.
I've logged in and somehow I've started up a metal, crystal and eonium asteroid. I've also started building a light factory.
It says the factory will be ready in 8 hours, and the asteroids give me a certain amount of resources per "tick". How long is a "tick"? Is the 8 hours in real time or game time?
Do I have to log in every day? As I'm not going to have any net access after today, until next monday.
Give me all the info!

Well currently PA is not working
(their ISP is having troubel so not pa crews fault)
Ticks are basicly hours
the ticker goes at 3 mins past the hour IE 1303
you need to talk to your gal mates (in politics) and get advice on what to build/research. You can;t attack or be attacked for 72 hours (under protection)

It's a while since I've played planetarion, but here's how it worked last time I played:
A tick is one hour - real time
You won't do very well unless you can log in at least twice a day. Preferably a lot more. Planetarion is an easy way to kill a lot of spare time.
Eonium 'roids never used to be very good. Not sure how the balance works now. Generally, make sure you are always researching something. Get some scans, and plenty of wave amps (if they still exist), and search for asteroids. Once you reach 60 or so asteroids, start raiding people for asteroids instead.
If FM is around, he's a Planetarion expert. He should be able to answer any questions you have.
