We all remember Dark Cloud on the PS2, a blatant Zelda rip-off which had supposedly 'clever' elements including random dungeons. Not a patch on Zelda, but it was quite annoying that all those idiot Sony fans said how much better than Zelda it was.
Anyway, at this years E3, Sony took the 'copycat' idea a set further - the blatant Zelda rip-off has ripped off Zelda even more - by becoming cel-shaded.
Its quite funny that the PS2 has to rely on copy the style of Nintendo's games to be able to have a half-decent game on its own system...
Heh heh.
Sony don't make the game I'm sure, because they never make any games. I think that it's just another new developer starting out by copying someone else so that they get known for something. Publishers (like sony) don't usually allow first-time developers to start out with a new and innovative game, rather, they prefer to see if the new developer is capable of producing a decent enough clone-game.
Nintendo are the only people who really allow first-timers to go full tilt on their first game, and we can see the results (Metroid, Eternal Darkness)
This copycat game probably sold well on the PS, so it's no wonder that they want to cash in.
I wouldn't worry, look how many Mario 64 clones there are, and often some clones turn out better than the original (Banjo)
