Can anyone give me an idea where I'm going wrong. I've added a PAYPAL shopping cart to my site but only some of the buttons work. I thought that this was first of all because I used my own buttons.. but I have the same problem using PAYPAL's standard buttons. I have tried this a good number of times and looked at the HTML and can't find anything wrong. I'm at the point of throwing the computer out of the window!!!!!!!! Any advice would be great.

PS Just had a quick view of your site - Blue Fairy - why does your nav bar only half show and then totally overlay the next page when selected? Are you using 'frames' or how is your navigation coded/integrated to the site?

Not too sure what you mean Dragonlance... it looks fine to me in IE. Will try to check it out though although I really am not too sure what I'm doing :/ I've written my site with Dreamweaver and the menu bar is made using the spry assets.

Maybe Hmm... can put me right... he usually does!! lol

A client has just followed the same process and then emailed the code to me for integration into his site. Simple, easy and so easy to work with if you know what's what! Joking aside, it works and looks good:)

It was quite easy.... You sign into your paypal account then at the top click the menu item called Merchant Services. On the next page to the right of the page there is a box with a title Useful Links. In that list you will see a link to Paypal Shopping Cart... go to that page and just click on create a button. This will produce html code for you to copy into your webpage. Hope this helps

Thanks Eccles.... I think the instant site editor is brilliant. I have a little knowledge but not enough to do the things the editor can do for me and for people like me who have little time to playabout with designs themself but can edit a bit of HTML its amazing.. Any improvements will only make it better and I look forward to them. Also thanks for the support from the team - its great to have someone knowledgable to ask when you are stuck!

Regarding the editor, we know there are a few niggles with it but for what it is able to do it is the best there is (trust me, I tried loads of WYSIWYG editors!). Anyway we are hoping to introduce a whole raft of changes/improvements to it. As this will require lengthy testing the the changes won't be instant so bear with us. In the mean time I have no problems trying to assist with possible workarounds.
The main tip is that if a feature of the editor doesn't seem to work the way you expect it to the try it again in another browser. For instance, drag resizing of images doesn't work too well in IE but works fine in Firefox.

Hmmm... - your a star!!

I sorted the page out in notepad and as you can see although I haven't finished refining it yet the PAYPAL seems to be working brilliantly!!

Sometimes its just good to have some chat with an expert to make sure we aren't totally on the wrong road and the team at Freeola are just brilliant!

I'm no expert... although I can write HTML and make a basic page myself... I wouldnt have a clue how to add the skyscrapers and Java and CGI etc .
I've saved this page on my computer now so that when I want to update it I can just go through the same process... without having to add in all the bgcolors and text colors as well.

Many thanks again for your help

"Do you think it would be worth me coding this table in notepad to make sure the code is right and then just pasting it back into the editor? ..."

I would be inclined to create a normal website using Freeola hosting if you are able to do that. I think Instant Sites are aimed at people with little website design experience - if you are happy coding your own table and pasting PayPal FORM code etc. I'm sure you would get on fine with a non-Instant Freeola site ;¬)
