As you probably know, this baby has gone gold, and will be hitting the shelves in the not too distant future. Having played the Beta for this absolutely magnificent game, I can only recommend ALL of you to buy this title.

Obviously, it has similarities to previous versions of the game, but it has evolved incredibly. You might be disappointed at the RPS aspect which has been toned down over the last year, but the "heroes" are still an excellent feature, and an absolute must in multiplayer games.

This game will rock the RTS world, expect battle.net to seeth with people begging for a game on this one.

Excellent title - buy it!

Well, in terms of physical age, its 4 years old now. But it hasn't aged a day. In my opinion, it's still the finest RTS game available until WCIII hits the shelves. It's better than AOE, it's better than C&C, Red Alert, Tiberian Sun, Shogun and Warrior Kings. Obviously its graphics are a little dated, but they aren't "bad", and due to its low system requirements, it's guaranteed to run like a dream.

Get it, now.

Problem being, is that just a retro game that you love through having great memories of it. As we both know, games age very quickly. So how aged is it?

the surname is actually the name of a small town somewhere in england.

check out the website: www.rippingale.com it's a website for their garden nursery or something.

fun.

As for C&C, I hate it too, but I love WarCraft, StarCraft and pretty much anything from Blizzard, so my guess would be that you'll be a fan of it. You can pick up starcraft plus the broodwar expansion for a tenner from SR. I would advise you do so.

Hmmm, well I love Age of Empires but I'm not overly fond of C&C, where does that put me? ;)

Oh of course I love your name, the surname especially strikes a chord. :D

you've.... never... played... StarCraft...

[choking noises]

Ok, the only other thing it bears any resemblance to would be... Possibly Age of Empires, but it's very different. some semblance to command and conquer too, but again, very, very different.

I'll try and think of some game that it bears a closer resemblance to (if any).

And my name rocks, k!

Ever played StarCraft?

The Blizzard RTS series is so different to anything else, it would be a crime to compare it to anything else.
