GB Color/Pocket
1. games might come in 30 in 1 type packages, usually these have all non - classic games.
2.On the label, it might say Color of Advance, but it is normally just original gameboy games.
3. It may have several glitches on it.
4.Instead of the Gameboy sign on the cartdridge it may only show GAME instead.
5. the box may be extremely glossy
6. RPGs may contain broken English e.g Mishi want nuts? you go back room for illeagal substance.
Secondly GBA games:

The first cart is official/real GS, the second is a real Japanese import, the third is a pirated cart, the fourth is the back of a pirated cart.
1. Box may be glossy.
2. Joints maybe not connected neatly, May be hard to stand vertically, so open edge is on the surface.
3. Above the sticker, the GBA logo is surrounded by a oval, offical ones do not have this.
4. Sticker might be stuck on extremely wonky.
5. A fake silver sticker that says its official isn't.
6. The game might use the GB color box art, but have the advance game! (check out the ISS 2000 in the picture!)
7.The colour of the the grey plastic might be a shade lighter, or darker than the original.
8. The little arrow beneath the sticker may be much smaller than the official one.
9. the features at the back of the cart are engraved deeper.
10. It might no have 'Made in Japan' on the back.
11. The box art might be different, as in 'zoomed' in.
12. while playing the game may freeze suddenly.
13. The save feature may not work on the game.
14. The Nintendo and Gameboy signs on the cart look tacky, and arn't even in the same font.
Game Cube games:
1. The print on the CD may be just the cover reprinted in one colour on the CD.
2. It may not run on a non-modified GCN system.
3. It may not come in a DVD style box, but a actual CD jewel case.
GC Accessories:
Memory Card
1. It may not work, i.e It will not save anything, or asks to format it.
2. It doesn't respond
3. It gets trapped inside your GCN
Controller
1. The guy selling it says its official.
2. It will pause suddenly randomly.
3. The rumble pak may just go off randomly.
4. The paint satrs coming off.
5. The buttons get stuck.
I hope this will help you distinguish the fake from the real.

You buy them for £3. They dont come in original case. The disc is Blue. :-D
You buy them from people in the market for £5. God sakes :o)

Well i think that is fairly obvious.
Don't buy second hand unless it's from a good shop...
Don't import games unless they are from a good supplier...
Don't buy games off of market stalls...
My mate had a 16 in 1 Game Boy package with loads of games on it including pokemon and they all worked properly...
It really is common sense!
