Metal gear solid finally makes it to european shores but after all the hype im disapointed .
All weve been hearing for months is how great Kojimi is and who hes a genius for all the touches he put in, like floating beer cans, guards who pee on your head, a rubber duck-yes hideo its all very good, but if spent less time puting small cosmetic touches in the thing you could have created a few more areas to explore , or added a few new puzzles that werntretreads of the first MGS , and a few bosses who actually present a channlenge .
Add to this having to sit through cutscenes and calls on your earpiece ecery 5 seconds , and you cant help but feel the game is merly a little playable part of a movie, not the other way around.
All praise to the programmers like Rockstar for games like GTA3 which takes at least a few weeks to complete and has infinite replay value as there is so much freedom in the city.
In MGS 2 I wish less time had been spent on quirky things and more on the actual game .
What was the point of icluding weapons such as C4s , Claymores and automatic rifles?
You can get through most of the game with the MP9 for Gods sake !?
sORRY MR kojima , if ya want to make a movie, go to hollywood.
I prefer playing my games, not watching them .
