Im coming back off my holiday in the car, i play on my GBA on the way home. The LED representing the battery light starts flashing red, so i saved the game. I keep on playing to get the most out of the batterys and saving as i go. Then my GBA slows down, all the graphics and sound go into slow motion, so i knew my batterys were about dead. I thought this slow down was amusing, so i carry on playing for around 5 mintues in this slow down mode, then the novelty wore off. I switched off my GBA. I came back to play it this morning, with a AC pack (free from SR ;) and its still in slow down mode!! i tryed with new batterys, switched GBA on/off, removed/replaced a game, removed/replaced power to GBA, Ive done everything but its still in slow down mode like the old batterys were still in!

Anyone know WTF i have done to my GBA and is it repairable?

If it is, is there anywhere i can take it to be fixed?

Thanks You for any replies

p.s i want v-rally 3 now!! (without the slowdown!!)

Cant say i have had the problem with my GBA but it sounds like something wrong on the inside of the GBA. Your best bet is to ring both the UK Nintendo company and the supplier where you got your GBA and see if you can get it replaced or fixed.

Sorry, I can't really help either.

But have you checked to see if any Battery Acid leaked from the dying batteries??

At least you've learnt something from this experience. :)
