i that the beano is the top book in england it is funny and its got all my favourite people like dennis the mennace,roger the dodger,the bash street kids my favourite story is the bash street kids it is funny and its got funny characters and my favourite characters are danny,smiffy,wilfred,winstonand there are loadsa good stuff thats why i like

I would recommend something less retarded.
Rumiko Takahashi's "Urusei Yatsura" or "Ranma 1/2" comics certainly surpass anything else I could mention, and are suitable for all ages, despite their sometimes raunchy (but never ADULT) content.
Rumiko Takahashi is one of the best writers in the comicbook world, and draws her comics herself. Not bad for a woman, especially given that Beano and stuff like that are written by about 10 people, and drawn by about 2 dozen more.
For the slightly older (10-14+) comic book reader, who can't resist picking up a few copies of Dragon Ball, or the later series, Dragon Ball Z. The biggest selling comic series in the world ever, and impressively has easilly outsold the bible, which has been available quite some time now :P.
Manga may not be everyone's cup of tea, but if you avoid the hentai material, and look at the quality stuff available, you'll find it packed with humour, and readability.
