In true British style we find an excuse as to why England were (and lets face it) crap against Nigeria.

So I've set up this thread so you can have a good old rant about stuff and blame the heat.

Seriously, I was in Florida two weeks ago and swimming in the pool or even walking round Disney was an effort when it was very hot.

I blame the heat + England knew that draw would get them through reguardless of the other result and the point is they are there France and Argentina arnt so who cares

They played a safe, albeit, boring game. But, they got the job done and we're in the second phase of the competition, so hat's off to em' I say.

Ah, be fair - excuses come after the event. I said yesterday that it would be a slow game from England's point of view!

When I was in Florida last year, it only reached the high 80s and I couldn't run for 90 seconds - let alone 90 minutes in 94 degree heat!
