In a shock announcement made by Namco revealing that Adult Link's only game will just be Super Smash Brother's Melee. Both Adult and Young version of the sword fighting, green clothed elf appeared in Smash Brothers and the youngest is set to appear in his own Gamecube adventure, but what of Adult Link? Is he destined for a life in the Spaceworld 2000 demo?

Well revealed by IGN insider and gamers.com Link's weapon based action has earned him a role in the upcoming multi-format game Soul Calibur 2. Link is an exclusive extra for the Nintendo Gamecube, no extras are existant in the PS2 or X-box versions. It does make a lot of sense and it shows that Namco, Sega's and Nintendo's Triforce partnership is working a treat, Sonic in Mario Kart (maybe) and Link in Soul Calibur, whatever next? Pacman in Mario Sunshine?

Well there we have it and now I have a question to ask of you lot, what the hell is Soul Fighter? Is it any good?

Dringo.

Like I said ealier Soul Fighter came out on the Dreamcast i'm not sure if this is a sequel to the Dreamcast game but it was a side scrolling fighting game. It was pretty good but too short, might be worth checking out if it is a sequel.

Hmmmm.
wasn't Soulf Fighter the original game in "Soul" series? I believe that it appeared in the arcades and also on the Playstation.

Soul Calibur was the sequel, and was definitely better than 'Fighter', so Soul Calibur 2 is the third in the series.

Hope that clears it up.

You mean Soul Calibar...it was released pretty much at the start (if not launch) of the Dreamcast's life where it become the best fighting game on any platform for about three years, it's a fantastic game, and this coming from someone who hates beat em ups.

All I know is that there was game with exactly the same name on Dreamcast, it was kinda scrolling fighting type set-up, it was pretty good but a bit short.

Yes! Yes!! YES!!!

I knew something great like this was gunna happen - but I never thought it would be in a Namco game.

I was thinking about this a few weeks back when I was reading a review of Soul Calibur 2, but I never thought it would happen!

I was gunna get this game anyway but this just makes it even better! :)
I just hope the game actually comes out over here! :S

And the Sonic in Mario Kart thing is pretty old now.
That's still be great to see though, and the next Smash Bros. game would be even better with SEGA characters!
