I was just posting in that 6 million ways to die thread, and an awful thought hit me. I have been on these forums now for about 7-8 months, I know quite a lot about some of you, especially the regular posters in this forum. But I don't *know* you. I've never met any of you (at least I don't know that I have), nor am I likely to. But you have added to my life in many ways, for that I am thankful.

But. If something happens to me tomorrow, none of you will ever find out. All that will happen is that The_GingerLord will stop posting in these forums. For a while you might think, that's weird, haven't seen GL post for a while (or maybe not! :-) but that would pass. If you tried to e-mail me you would get no reply, as no-one would be able to check my mail. It would almost be as if I ceased to exist.

This is a strange situation to be in. We all have the opportunity to affect each others lives, and that is a great thing. But it is something that can be taken away from us in an instant.

OK. Enough of the deep stuff now. I don't know exactly where I'm going with this topic. Just a thought I wanted to share with you guys, before I die in a horrible car accident or something!

Have a nice day!

It's quite funny how I can connect to you lot, as I was thinking the same to many on here, in particular, Grix. I'd definately have someone to at least tell you that I'm dead :)

People will remember me.

I'm going to make sure that when I die, it's on the news. Not sure how I'll do that exactly, but I'm working on it. I guess I have to become good at something first...

I agree with Grix in a way I know that while I am here I can make a difference. I have been through many things and know just how some people feel and If I help in any small way then that is a victory. I never forget that there are real people here cause im a real person and there are many people worse off then I am.

Instead of what, exactly? If you don't take them seriously, you might forget there are real people on here. People that have been on the edge of suicide, people who have had nothing left to turn to than people on an internet site that they've never met in their life. Yeah, we can have a laugh, but we have to look each other in the eye too. And amazingly, even without seeing each other, we can do that.

When I reach the right age, I'm going to have something written into my will, so something gets posted on here, which is going to ask a few of you to do certain little tasks that would make me laugh.

If I'm dead, you can't argue, so ner. If I find myself not dead, I may ask you to do them anyway.

And no, haven't got anything in mind. But I'm sure I'll come up with something.

Thats why I never really get uptight about exams anymore as you could be dead the next day.

Another thought on this subject is that if you die, and in as little as 50 years time no one would remember you.

Ah, happy days....
