It's just an advert. A pretty good advert, I might add. I like adverts that amuse me.

But I can see where you stand. I know it's not fame you want... I just need to write, and create, and stuff. I don't really know why I do it, I enjoy the support, but I don't do it FOR the compliments... I do it because I enjoy it. Guess it must be the same for you. Can't really pinpoint the exact purpose of why you need to succeed, but want to get there so you can just do what you want to.

I can't believe I've heard some of the 'Gorrilaz' music being used for ad's. You would have thought that Damon (artschool) Albarn would have been dead against it?

Difference is, Jackson is hardly struggling for $.
Being given points in the Star Wars movies and a paycheck from Lucasfilm would do me for..well..ever, seeing as it's more than I'll ever earn.

Promoting a bank that closes local branches, charges to use ATMs and other niceities seems...well...wrong if you're an international movie star.

And I've already had this discussion with Parker. If our music is ever used on an advert, then I want no part of it.
And I say that now, earning basic and having to fight for things I want.
I would in no way accept money from commercials, because it offends me and I am a musician, not a salesman.

I dunno... depends where the money ends up. If he sat and smiled on a plane/train whatever and commented about the great service so he could have his east facing wall in his bedroom turned into an entertainment centre, then I'd agree.

But if he needs that money so he can go and feed a few other faces, so he can follow his heart and get a chance to do something he needs to do, then perhaps the sacrifice of the humility is worth it.

Would you let the whole of Westlife butt-rape you if you could get Parker heard the world round? Not so you can sell records/albums, and I know that.

Lets face it. The amount of money that the ad companies offer, it would be strong man that could say no.
