Well the first games were very poor, BAD graphics, BAD gameplay and well very BAD over all. In the last few years but things have improved very much we have had Flight Simulator, Combat Flight Simulator, F22 Falcon etc. all these had great gameplay and very good graphics and were hundreds times better than their ancestors.
Well now what do we look for, Flight Simulator 2000 was realised and was not that much different than it's predecestor. So have we came to the point where we can not improve it any more except from more planes and new missions.
Well I think NO! I think the future will be a virtual reality headset that connects to your computer and you can play the flying games on that, I think this is the way forward because I do not believe the graphics can be improved that much more.
They're powerful enough to take those fast moving fighter jets. Hopefully that will happen, very little of them are on the PC, maybe the genre is not so good, but they can improve on it.
It may not be tested on consoles yet but it's ready to, with the PS2, Gamecube and X-Box coming out.
