What the processor fan? Well I havent had any experience with P3's but with AMD's there are some clips that attach the fan to the processor.

Its quite easy to fit a motherboard into a case. Take out all the PCI cards e.t.c. from the motherboard. In some of the corners there should be some screws. Unscrew them all. Then just screw the new one in and plug all the fan cables e.t.c. back in place. Not too hard to do, but abit scary as one slip up could wreck the motherboard.

Athlon XP 1700+ 1.47Ghz SoA - Processor
and
SoA VIA KT133A ATX A - Motherboard (Allows 600MHz-1800+MHz)

Its just over £150 for the two things.

By the way, would you care to donate a large sum of money to me? =P

They should work together. With Motherboards have a look at the Mhz figure for the processors supported. Most Motherboards have a large supporting range e.g. 1200 - 1800. Just check whether that board supports 1.47Ghz. Dont know if the Motherboard is any good, but the proccessor is good enough.
