Look england wheter or not you claim that owen penalty claim was a dive or not was still blatantly deserved you can't complain anyway as the argentinians are only behind klinsman and the italy team in the diving rankings. England deserved the win anyway. Argentina may well be a better team but england out played them on the day and thats what counts.
+there is no such thing as a bad penalty which hits the back of the net.
Batistuta has the best scoring record out of anyone in the team and did a lot to get them there it is absolutely criminal to suggest he shouldn't be there especially as he has their only goal of the tournament.
The reason why they lost is a) because they had a bad day in midfield as a result of being out played by scholes and butt. They have samuel who is excelent but he can't do everything with ayala out of action.

Well put simply England ut played Argentina all the way through the game until the last 15 mins when argentina were all over England.

Thewhole match was foul after foul, and i am glad to say that most of them were by the argies, it was a penalty and like KR said, if hedidnt go down the ref wouldnt have given it.....but whos complaining it won us the match!!
Becks did do one thing back to the argies....and it wasnt a little tap as you all fine well know.

If you actually read what Solskjaer said he mentioned that there was contact.

Even though we did play marginally better than them, we still could have lost that match by quite a few goals!
They had more than enough chances but they went for power with their frustration and bad tempers and blasted them into orbit!
I know also think it was a dive by Owen - but just time very well!
I've seen it over and over now, and even though contact was made, you don't just collapse on the floor like that!
Every other player who IS fouled in the box goes up and over in the air - but those look like blatant dives, and would make it simple for the ref to spot.
No-one thinks of Owen as a cheater, just an over-rated annoying little brat from Liverpool!
