I am looking to get a new graphics card, i need one which will last quite a long time before the games begin to test it. Any ideas?

I'd love to get a new graphics card, playing all my games with the maximum detail turned right up. I'm stuck with a GeForce 2 however, because my motherboard only had PCI slots and these new 3D cards need AGP slots. The only way I can solve this is by getting a new motherboard, which is going to be a biatch to fit. Still be worth it though.
Anything that is GeForce 3 or greater is a worthwhile investment (though you mighht want to steer clear of the "sparkle" versions, as they are dubiously inexpensive. I usually go Creative. A quality brand I have trusted for years.
If money is no object: Geforce 4 ti4600.
That'll last a long time, tons of raw speed and loadsa tweaks.
If on budget: Geforce 4 MX 400
Plenty of raw speed still, but not too many features. This means that all your games will run fine but won't have quite the depth of graphical finery.
