there are two versions:
£29.99 which is a cheat cartridge and import player
£19.99 only plays import.
i really want the £19.99 version but i cant find it anywhere (i'm aware its not out until 15th june)and also i was wondering, can you save import games on a UK memory card?
probably been said and asked a million times but oh well some assitance would be lovely.
CHEERS
The downstairs TV does NTSC anyway, so will rn games through that. However, it'll also have PAL 60, so that'll be preferable (not very much difference at al though)
Sonic
the TV in my room in the manual says:
PAL I 2 (whatever that means) but it does run 60hz.
the TV in my living room says PAL and NTSC 3.58/4.43 (video input)
plus in my living room i have an american video player and that works fine. so i gather it'll work in my living room (and thats cool cos thats resident evil in 32inch) but i cant be bothered to keep taking my cube downstairs so if my TV in my room runs 60hz will it run NTSC?
YOU WILL NOT NEED AN AMERICAN MEM CARD to play american games through the Action Replay, even if what I have said is right...
If I am right, then you WILL need seperate cards to save America, Jap and UK games, however these need not be from the respective territories- they can all just be UK cards.
However, Datel may have got around this...

it should tell on your tv or in your tvs manual
my video and dvd or both auto switchable between NTSC and PAL. My video states that clearly on the front

Read the manual, near the end will most probably be a spec sheet with height, weight, power consumption etc. Look for colour system - it should say PAL & probably SECAM (the French TV system). If you are lucky it will also say NTSC 3.58 & 4.43. I cant remember which one of these two NTSC ones is needed to view an American signal, I think that it is 4.43. Most probably it will do both or neither. If it does this you will be laughing.
Now, for a better picture you should use an RGB scart. If your TV has a Scart, as most do, check if it is RGB compatible. The manual should say in the back the specs of all your terminals, ie "21-pin Euro Connector". Look for something that says RGB Input. If you can use an RGB lead then you dont have to worry about the whole NTSC colour compatibility thing. It sends the colour signal differently, so if RGB works for you in colour then any game from the USA or Japan will also be in colour.
The last thing is 60hz as an NTSC signal refreshes more quickly than a PAL one. If any of your current GC games work in 60hz then you will be fine.
Of course, if you have lost your TV's manual then try a region 1 DVD through a scart. If it is colour and the picture doesnt flicker then it seems that your telly is compatible.
so why don't everyone just buy it, save it and then take it back?
so lets get s*** straight......
1) i'll most prolly need a US memory card to go wih resi'?
2) i'll need a NTSC compatable TV, so how do i know if mine's compatable? (and please dont say it's on most new TV's)
