Due to my own stupidity, I've missed the last 5 Sociology lessons, and I have one left before we break up for exam leave. The lesson is tomorrow, and I can't just stroll in and say "I managed to sleep in almost every day for the last three weeks". I've used a LOT of excuses in my past, but never that I'd sprained/broken a bone/ankle (whatever)

However, since I've never sprained/broken anything, I have no idea how long it would take to heal. I don't want to go in and say "I sprained my ankle" and for her to say "OK, that would take (whatever amount of time) to heal, why are you only getting in now?" or something along those lines. So anyone ever broken or sprained anything? What did you injure and how long did it take to heal? I have big marks on my arms from boxing, I'm gonna say I fell down my ladder (up to the attic, my bedroom) Hopefully that little detail should solidify my claim...

Help me out, anyone, please, before I have to start checking the internet for medical sites

I've broken my wrist before after a nasty fall from a bike when I was riding to school, hurt like buggery. It was so painful I couldn't get to sleep the following night.

I can't remember exactly how long it remained in a cast, I think 2 or 4 weeks. Anyway for the first half my wrist was in a normal plaster cast, with rest of the time spent in a fibre glass cast.

When I broke my wrist, I couldn't move my hand or any of my fingers because if I did it hurt allot. A wrist break probably won't get you out of a lesson, so You'll probably be best with an arm break. I think its like a wrist break only on a bigger scale. Just hope you don't get a broken limb for real, it isn't a pleasant experience.
