I wanted to do a little experiment as part of my website. Each person on this forum has a different background and a different day. It would be good if people could just type up one day in their life, whether it be today or sometime in the past. No need to put in exact details, but it would make the entries feel more personal. Also, it doesn't need to be personal, but once again, thats preferred.

I'll add my own later when I've had a chance to think and compile. I'm not good myself at these sort of topics, but I'll try.

All replies appreciated.

Was my last day ever in school today. For a little look back on things, I took a notebook in, and got everyone to write in it. I'm going to quote some comments taken from the bigger ones all the way through this, randomly. Hardly quotes that will change the way you think forever, but still nice. :0)

["That doesn't make much sense - sorry! I'm very exciteable!"]

Get woke up by a text message this morning from a wonderful friend of mine, and remember it's my last day. :0) Decide for the first time this year, I'll go in early. :)

["You're actually sitting right next to me, so I don't miss you."]

Turn up at school a minute or two late, but hey, I'm in reg. First time for a few months.

["You are the lovliest monkey in the whole wide world!"]

Pretty nice to be back in reg... most of us were in, just sitting around, our tutor [Mr Owen] having a laugh with us... I've lost my voice recently, really really bad throat. My mum told me this morning that she'd try and get me an appointment at the doctors this afternoon, but was planning to go down pub after school finished with mates. So no drugs for me, I'd start them tommorrow.

["Remember the steak??"]

Leave reg, and we all decide to go down Tesco and buy a crap load of beer for Mr Owen.

["It's been fun. It will be fun. May you live long, drink loads, and your life be good."]

End up buying about a tenner's worth, come back to school [find dog, dog starts following us], walk into his lesson where he's teaching year sevens, and put the beer on his table. Then, a group of others from our class walk in, and put crap loads more on it too. Had a chat, then left.

["I could go on, but quite frankly, you probably don't want me to."]

Walk back up to top of school, dog comes too. He wonders off when we go into the common room, and I spend the next few hours getting people to write in my book, and playing cards.

["Go and enjoy Twister with the laydees!"]

Only one cried, a girl... everyone else *cared*... it was just, meh... what could you do? We're still going to see each other on the beaches... suppose it hasn't just settled in yet. Love them all really, wish they all had books for me to write in.

["I still don't know why you are called monkey, and I guess it will just be one of those mysteries in life that you never know the answers to!"]

Drove my friend to town so he could buy a sandwich, drove home and picked up some photos I had forgotten about, taken from three years ago, picked my friend back up on the way back, he bought me a drink for my throat, lovely guy.

["May your pets be obedient and your illnesses few and non-threatening."]

Played football for a while, but got really tired, no energy at all... so went back to the common room. Girls were all in there, playing twister... however, we had lost the spinny thing, so we just kinda 'randomly' chose where they had to go. Headmaster walked in half way through, very, very funny.

["Cheers for being really supportive etc"]

Last hour of the day, got a few more commenty things... two drama students however, made us all laugh, a lot.

["don't do anything I wouldn't do, e.g. hard work"]

First, they put on this wrestling album, all these theme tunes to wrestlers. Started playing, and one boy walked in from one side of the common room, dancing along, putting his hand to his ear, that sort of thing.

["Monkey, the only specialised goalkeeper"]

Other bloke came in, and they make themselves a imaginary ring in the centre of the room... one lies back against the invisible ropes, they start doing all the wrestling stuff. So, big boy one walks up, grapples, then picks him up, and 'slams' him on the floor. We're all laughing madly by this point.

["I've never been so scared as the day I stabbed you in the head with my compass. Thank God for Dafydd!"]

The boy gets up, and starts waving his finger at the other one, twitching his neck slightly... the other boy mock punches him, stamping the floor... then they grab eachother, swings him against the invisible ropes, he runs back, and he wacks him across the chest, slamming him straight down onto the floor.

["Get a job and make lots of money."]

Other boy runs against 'ropes' while the boy is lying down, jumps in the air, and lands straight on top of him. Eventually, they both get up, and bow. Cheered us all up. :0D

[here's to Venice - only about 45 days left on the calander now!! (even tho u won't be old enough to drink ha!)"]

And then that was it. Found myself sitting alone in the common room, walked around a bit, read everything on the walls, then drove home.

["Lenny's fondest memory of Monkey; 'The day Dan and I got you the exploding coke-can.' Happy days!"]

Come home to find that it's actually a bank-holiday, so no doctors today. Go online for about two minutes, get rung, get picked up, go to pub.

["whatever you do, be happy doing it"]

By this time though, I'm feeling really bad. My voice is at it's worst now, can't make any noise at all. Arrive, buy one drink, try to chat, try to eat a doubley cheeseburger and chips but fail badly... boy offers to take chips off me, I try to tell him that he'll get my illness, but didn't seem to be bothered. Ah well. :0)

["Dun-da-dun dun-dun-dun-duuun... (sung in an introductory manner)"]

Walk home, feel really, really bad now. Get stuck behind old man... and I worry that he'll think I'm following him. Half way up hill, he stops, turns around, and tells me to overtake, I'm younger, and smiles at me. Tells me getting up the hill is hard work, but he's just paranoid, poor man. I smile, and start to talk to him. I've found myself talking to a lot of strangers recently... just told him about this being my last day, him laughing, telling me he remembers his... a long time ago... I tell him I'm looking forward to living the rest of my life, he laughs, and we part.

["I am puzzled two about y your called monkey! I guess its a "monkey puzzle" - oh dear!!"]

Sat home, voice goes completely. Find my commenty book, read it. Talk to friends online, read a bit of stuff... Dad comes and tells me to change account details for the internet, because his old card has expired. Takes me ten minutes to find the piece of paper with the password I need to change it on, and my feet were on it for half the time.

["Note the alliteration, aren't I clever"]

Sent an email to Goatboy, because it's his birthday today. Probably out though, haven't seen him at all, for all my brief time on here. :0)

["Cafe slante specials board"]

Now? I'm feeling really, really crappy and ugh. Tired as hell, just want to sleep, but there's something stopping me.

["and it's been an honour knowing you"]

Wish I could go out tonight, but feeling so crap. Lonely again. Meh.

["Hope you like your life"]

Not sure what's going to happen tonight. Want to ring somebody, but maybe won't be able to speak. Resting voice, hopefully it'll come back by then.

["How the f**k did you get that name? Hope that you got some marks in tech because you worked so hard (Ha, Ha)."]

And that's about it. :0)

["See you on the island."]

Here you go Fuzzy, as you asked!

Got up ate 8.00 - school bus leaves at 8.10. Ah, these beds - They're so damn comfortable! Bus journey uneventful - Very easy English exam in the morning - I had to sit right at the front of 250 students! God damn it, is there no justice?

After that I had no more exams, so I wnet and hung about with my mates. One of them is going out with a year 10, and one of her friends was with her. I was just sitting around, when she asked me who I was, how long I'd been a the school etc etc - The cheek! I've been there 5 years! I think that tells you summat about her and my low profile if I don't want to be seen. Anyway, she was pretty nice, and one of those 'touch without moving' escapades started - You know, they sit down, and your bodies connect in some way, and you seem to be talking/doing other stuff but both your whole attention is on that physical connection! They are pretty cool, and then I went off!

After that I went down to find some mates, because all the remaining Yr11 had gone home or were in other exams. I found my mates, and we played football (with painful/difficult rules) and hung about the skat epark and had a laugh. Came home, another uneventful bus journey, and then went on here!

My normal school day is gettin up at 10 to 8 getting washed and changed then getting my breakfast, going upstairs to brush my teeth and gel my hair up (not like Gareth Gates) then set off to school. Im in the top group in school.

This year in my year 6 S.A.T's I think I'll get all level 5s, because I got that in my last practise S.A.T's, but I took a level 6 maths paper.

When I get home I usually have something quick to eat, then either go on the Nintendo Game Cube, computer or play out.

When I playout I either go on my bike or play football with my mate. The sports I like are football, who I support Bradford City, rugby, who I support Bradford Bulls and I like to play tennis, cricket and rounders.

At night I have my supper then go to bed about 10 o'clock (I'm only ten).

I might post something else in another time.
