Just to inform all PS2 and GC fanboys who think that they have all the best games and there is no need to buy and xbox that i know you can get stuff on pc, but consoles are better, so as you are reading this remember that wouldnt you prefer to play any great game on a console, rather than using a crappy keyboard and mouse, some people migt disagree, but
I DONT CARE CONSOLES HAVE BEEN AND ALWAYS WILL BE BETTER THAN PCs END OF STORY, now please read little fanboys:

If you do not own an xbox you will miss out on "DOOM 3"

if you do not own an xbox, you will never get to play "PROJECT EGO" (new concept to rpgs as we know it)

if you do not own an xbox, you're REALLY REALLY going to miss out on "splinter cell"??? Its not coming to gamecube, a press release denied it, go to www.wire.ign.com if you dont believe me.

you like platformers like mario? but you dont own an xbox so you will never play "blinx" in your life???? the most revolutionary platformer, which will be infinitely better than mario, hmmmm first ever proper 4d game, compared to squirting water to clear up graffiti, wahay man.

how about halo ???, you mean you never want to get a taste of that either?, you'll just MISS out on it???, lol oh ok

"Elderscrolls 3 morrowind" got a 9.4 rating, one of the best open ended rpgs, until project ego comes out, but you just hate bill gates and decided to miss out on these gaming experiences, lol

gta, i was slightly disgruntled when i heard this news, but a minute of halo, jet set radio future, oddworld, and looking at info about all the great xbox games made me realise that I COULDN'T CARE LESS.
final fantasy, wow u hv to spend the £50 on the game, the £100 on the hardrive, cos u cant play without, and another £100 for the broadband adaptor, didnt u realise its online only and yur ps2 dont come ready, WHAT A PITY

while SOME of gamecubes and ps2 exclusives are looking like good games, it seems that xbox has more exclusives than both gamecube and ps2 put together and ALSO looking pretty promising thus far, AND FOR GOOD REASON, xbox has a software attach rate of 4.2 games per console (attractive to game developers)

Nobody can doubt the fact that xbox is technically superior, looks at the stats and say TO MY FACE that they're not, i dare you.

All third party games look and play better on xbox, without a doubt.

and also the xbox is the easiest of the 3 to develop for, it gives the programmers more tools to work with, simplifying everything in a pc familiar architecture, more memory and speed, even the latest in graphics technology to work with, BACKED UP by a 2 billion dollar committment from microsoft guaranteed, THATS why most of these games will be beefed up and only on xbox

and im sure more games to come...

Splinter Cell is an Xbox and PC exclusive mate! Check IGN and that was from 3 days ago!

One valid point to be made here. I see that you are all sticking up for PC games, I have no problem with that but not so long back people were slating the Xbox for being a PC so make your mind up! I think that is why I like the Xbox so much, I couldn't play half the games out on PC but the Xbox gives me the chance to play them with equally to better graphics and a Pad to play with! Plus no installations so I am over the moon all round!

This is not a site for you to do experiments and use us as Guinea pigs. Plus half the posts were Brother T where he made a Triple post about someone at school if you actually read the replies.

I never imagined how well that would have work! I found this on an american forum site,and i saw how many amercians sent messages back in anger at the original poster's audacity. i carried out a little test, at all of your's expenses, to see which country was more angered by this, and suprisingly we english beat the number of anger post by a considerable amount, about 10 posts i think. I didnt write this, and i hope i have not been now been thought of as an 'every other console stinks but xbox rules' fanboy. I can assure you all that i am not, and im seriously considering buying a gamecube, i had an snes, n64 and all incarnation of gameboy, the only one i missed out on was nes.
I am proud of my xbox, i do think it is amazing, but i dont think everything else stinks. I often go to friends' houses and play on ps2s, and ive told u im considering getting a gamecube for the vast array of quality games coming out for it.
To reiterate, thank you all for taking part in my little experiment

I think the PS2 will always rule and they'll bring out a doom3 conversion anyway. Sorry but I think the X-box sux. its way tooooo big to put anywhere nice like on top of a chest of drawers and have enough space to put the controllers next to it.

What planet are you living on? The average PC off the shelf these days can outpower any console on the market several times, and us PC owners don't have to dream about the future of online gaming - BECAUSE WE'VE BEEN LIVING IT FOR YEARS. Consoles follow the trends that PCs set. True it wasn't always this way, but it is now, and has been for several years.

The XBOX is a respectable machine that is doing poorly due to a flawed launch schedule. I have no doubt that we won't see the true popularity of this machine until long after christmas, but people like you are more likely to swing people to buying GameCubes or PCs than XBOXs.

I have changed my radical views and yes, i do think that this topic proves how good a forum this is. This guy (guyks) was being a jackass and these guys (u lot) have shown that. I think if you are going to try and share your views than make it about one topic (not 150 different games)- short and sweet. I own an Xbox, and this guy by no means represents the excellent Xbox community. I believe that the Xbox will not kill PS2 or GC, but sit alongside them in an industry that needs variety and innovative ideas, and all of the consoles are delivering. It's going to be an exciting year, no matter which console you own, you are in for a treat (Halo 2, Zelda, FFX and FFXI)

You wish. There is less lag with broadband, but its not totally free of it.

The list could continue for all games machines, consoles and PC. The x-box isn't special in its games line up.

Thats mainly because they both have near enough the same line up.

They're not. I'll be upgrading my Pc later this year, and it will be upgraded to twice the power of the x-box.

Now I'm sure the x-box has allot of great games to play, and if I had the time and money, i'd probably own one. This line-up however, has failed to convince me that i should go for the box instead of the cube. I think all consoles are great, and have great games to play, so instead of finding ways to damn other consoles guyks, why don't you just play on your x-box. That, I'm sure would be a far more constructive than making pointless. Irrelevant posts like this.
