I've got a php news script on my site, it works well, except for the fact that the new news is entered at the bottom of the page and the old news stays at the top.
So, unless I edit the news data to turn the tables around everytime I enter some news it will stay the same.
Is there a script I can enter to flip the tables around or so that next time I enter some news in it enters it into the top instead of the bottom? thanks.

dhs.org, although I know there are others. You get a subdomain, and you need software that will automatically update your IP when you connect. Quiz Reaper about the software, as I know he must have some, but you it shouldn't be too hard to find.

I've got a program called Deenes, kindly donated by Gabbo :)

You're still using Link encap:Local Loopback. I reckon this is Windows being screwy.

No I was running my Server using the IP from Pipex, so it was live on the net. But the hidden value where the IP should go was blank for me.

If you're viewing it from localhost, your link should be the loopback system. This still shows your IP as 127.0.0.1. Do a phpinfo(), I did one this morning and $REMOTE_ADDR was definitely 127.0.0.1. Maybe it's a screwey Windows quirk.

Seemed to get my IP address OK - i can see it in the addy when i look in history. If not, you could try the following as identification:

REMOTE_HOST - The hostname making the request.

REMOTE_USER If the server supports user authentication, and the script is protected, this is the username they have authenticated as.

REMOTE_IDENT - If the HTTP server supports RFC 931 identification, then this variable will be set to the remote user name retrieved from the server. Usage of this variable should be limited to logging only.
