Ah, but there are several reason why this could be a godsend:

1) You're surfing for porn, when your mother walks into the room. You quickly press Control + W

2) In a few months time, you edit your tagline to 'press CTRL + W', and almost die laughing when people acuatlly do it. Especially if they somehow do it three times before catching on.

3) You're surfing for pirate software, but are swarmed by pop ups, appearing faster than you can click on the close icon. Armed with your new knowledge, this is no longer a problem.
