also if you goto either gamespot.com or ign.com and look for metal gear solid 2 substance...you will find in the interview with hideo kojima that he says it IS being released on the xbox and also get a few of his thoughts about developing for the xbox, new modes etc

Metal Gear Substance *WILL* be on Xbox, and PC.

Three news items, all stating this fact.

Also, it is not likely to be an addon that will require the original game. Because that will just annoy people if they have to use two disks. Konami even stated somewhere it would be a whole new game, but I can't find that link. It will still feature the whole MGS2 storyline though. So it'll be a bit like the upgrade from SSX => SSX Tricky. It will also have over 200 VR missons, and there is the possibility of improved visuals on some systems.

Muuuuuuh.

No...because the idea of an add-on is to add to a game already there. Like GTA london required GTA...MGS:substance will require MGS2...which isn't on xbox.

This IS NOT A PS2 EXCLUSIVE...it's actually coming out on the xbox first and a ps2 and pc release should follow shortly after...it has the main MGS2 story included on top of all these extras

Yes as far as I know, if any MGS games are released on any of the other consoles im sure they will probably have add on's aswell. This one must be purely PS 2 exclusive because its basics are of the MGS 2 but with added extra's.

So is it's an add-on then surely it will be PS2 only?

The games going to be called MGS: Substance, the concept of this game is based around MGS 2 with loads of VR missions to go with it, apparently you can be snake on all those levels you had to go through with raiden in the, I got excited when I thought a new MGS game is coming out, but its just another add on with further training facility and additional features, depending on the price im not sure if i'll get it or not. I think most people woould agree.
