it's messed up although everything works fine, i've tried changing my card's settings but nothings happening.
Also, Jedi Knight 2 won't work properly, my PC beats all the recommended specs, yet as soon as I load it it comes to a white screen and gives a squelching noise, I have to double click to get into the intro and onto the game, then it crashes again!
I'd be extreemly grateful for any help with either of the questions, thankyou for your time.
It could be the same problem as I had on an old monitor - there was obviously a loose connection or something in the monitor, and if you just hit it on the side, it would go back to normal.
Reseat and re-plug-in everything video related: your card, the cables etc. Hit the monitor gently on the side (you might have a loose connection).
If this doesn't do anything try DirectX diagnostics: Start->Run->dxdiag
This is quite good at fixing itself, and gives you a fair amount of info anyway.
Finally - and I'm quoting from a book here - 'one embarrassingly obvious fix to monitor problems...is to adjust the controls on the monitor'. Well, duh.
Good luck. ;~)
