I'm sure I'm not the only one stunned to see Man U at the top of this league.

Still, at least they won something this season! ;-)

Gunners climb Fair Play league

The latest figures from the F.A. Barclaycard Premiership Fair Play League show another improvement for Arsenal, who now sit in 10th place, an improvement of five places over the last release, and ten up from two months ago.

The league - which takes into account all games up to May 7th - shows how the Gunners increased their fast, attacking football and tightened up on their discipline in the final run-in to the end of the season.

F.A. Barclaycard Premiership 2001/2002 Fair Play League

1 Manchester United
2 Liverpool
3 Newcastle United
4 Ipswich Town
5 Chelsea
6 Aston Villa
7 Fulham
8= Everton
8= West Ham United
10 Arsenal
11 Southampton
12 Blackburn Rovers
13 Sunderland
14 Middlesbrough
15 Tottenham Hotspur
16 Leeds United
17= Derby County
17= Charlton Athletic
19 Bolton Wanderers
20 Leicester City

And with two more games yet to be taken into account - victories over Manchester United and Everton, which saw us pick up only one yellow card and score five goals - it seems likely that the final position could be even higher.

The F.A. Barclaycard Premiership Fair Play League is calculated using the following factors:

Red cards received
Yellow cards received
Positive Play
Respect Towards Opponents
Respect Towards Referees
