Also, we seem to get about a million of these on elecetion day, which is pointless, so try and keep it all in here. Cheers.
Chat about the election in here, who's going to win? Who doesn't deserve any votes? Who deserves more votes.
*shakes head*
"I want the last word"
"No I do"
"Aha, but I have"
"No you haven't"
"Yes I do"
"Oh I think you are mistaken"
"Au Contraire"
"I know you are but what am I?"
"And your momma too"
"Says you"

You're both pretentious, spamming people that are making each other look less and less like the intellectual giants you strut about like.
You're *both* inferior to me.
Check out my gold name and 2 votes in this election thing.
I rule, so you're both wrong.
Now kiss and make up like good little girls.
oh well, just like every other election.

On the contrary, people spam because they are too lazy to think up decent posts.

My attitude towards the fact that you seem intent that I should adopt your use of smileys you mean? Don't be so pathetically arrogant. You like smileys, so use them. I don't, so I won't. DOn't think that by listlessly complaining at me that I'll change my views.

No, it says that you are incredibly obsessed with something that I see as irrelevant and insignificant. You come across as pushy and arrogant, with a plain ignorance of anyone else's view. Whereas that might be acceptable under certain circumstances, it sure isn't here. Grow up.

I get it all too well. You want me to be like you. I won't. Ever. Thankfully.

Yes, you noticed my little bit of humour, and as promised it came with one of those rare faces you idolise so irrationally. Don't expect any more to be forthcoming without good reason.

Arent the Notables doing the same thing?

Thats right I am, I don't deny it. And you have just unknowingly shot yourself in the foot. You said that I was spamming, now you are saying I'm lazy. The two are not compatible, so please make up your mind.

Fantastic, a quality post that really skips around the issue without actually touching on it. If you read my last post properly you'll notice I said "OK, this may not be a huge issue, but your attitude towards it is whats the problem."
Right. I'm not making out that smileys are the be-all and end-all, I'm saying that your refusal to do them tells a lot about you as a person. Putting the focus on your 'attitude'.
Had you read the post properly before brimming over with righteous indignation and tapping out a patronizing, controversial response, you might have actually got the point. Oh well, one can but hope.........

Me neither, I was just asking you NOT to reply til you've lightened your attitude a bit. And.....yes....I do believe.........Yes indeed there is a little face at the end of your post. Its not exactly smiling, but you'll get there eventually. Well done!! |-D

Hardly, you're just too lazy to delete unnecessary data.

No, I just don't see the point of smiling like a moron when I don't mean it. It's false, it's deceitful, and it's pointless. Like I said, if i want to smile I will, don't try to force me to be something I'm not.

These forums have more than enough goodwill with or without smileys. The people here (and yes, I've never said this before, but I've always thought it) are light-hearted, topical people, and enjoy reading and posting here. I'm quite sure that no-one else misses me posting smileys all the time, and even more sure that when someone does see a smiley from me they don't think "ah, a smiley from IB, I now feel loaded with goodwill and the need to do good to others and engage in charity work for homeless children". People say I'm up my own @rse, but come on, your comment is waaaaaaaay up there.

I don't recall saying I would reply :P

Not often, but he is a good poster.
