Rather surprised that no one has really mentioned this yet:

Seems like its going to be a whole new game rather than an update too.

And its set in the 80's, so does that mean we get all the classic electro pop sounds back on our TV's? :D

Personnally, all im expecting is for better graphics, new story, more cars, bigger city and a few new features. I really dont think there as that much new they could put in the game to make it leaps and bounds above GTA 3.

It can be better, of course, im just wondering how much better it will be.

Only time will tell i guess.

Well I hope its gonna be good. But how can Rockstar expand on the masterpiece that is GTA3. They will have to do something pretty damn special

Well that for sure will give the PS2's DVD unit a good run, i just hope not too much.

My launch day PS2 died last november as i had been playing GTA 3 and Pro Evo too much, i just hope my new one that i got will be up to the job.

Anyway, this game is released in October, it only seems like yesterday since i got Pro Evo and GTA3, this gaming year has gone so fast!

Well it said that they are going to work very hard on this game so im expecting something good.

Didnt they say they were using a double layer DVD to make it?

If so, and they use the lots of the disk space, then it should allow for an amazing game.
A double layered DVD could do great things, way better graphics, much more levels and basically a more 'in-depth' game.

Cant wait.

lol

Well i would have thought that if the developers knew that they had to compete with these games that they would try there hardest to make sure that it was a damn fine game.

If it isnt, ill get the others instead...thats what they better have in mind anyway, ill be very upset if they do a Fifa and expect it to sell on name alone.

Hmm, i think it could be quite fun, going back into the 80's, drving all the big box cars.

No screen shots yet though, so we will have to see what they come up with.

But if this game has to compete with Driver 3 and The Getaway, it should be good.

I like the idea that its a brand new game and not just and add on.

But, I dont like the idea of it being set in the eighties, this makes me think that everything will be all old fashioned and everything.

Like one of those cheesy old western movies with big latino mafias in black suits with small white stripes and sunglasses and one of those hats.

Oh, and a big cuban cigar.

And the phrase "Are you. Talkin' to me?"

Doesnt sound like it will be as fun if its all like that....... dunno though....
