Reply if you haven't seen one or more of them, then run off and buy/rent/lend the film
I doubt I'll be watching wvil dead anytime soon though, I didn't think much of the sequel even though I laughed all the way through it.

errm... bunch of people wind up in cottage in forest, awake the dead and start dying off.
Ash(played by Bruce Campbell), main character in both, has no experience of this in 2nd movie.
why?
BECAUSE IT IS A REMAKE!!!!
I'm thinking about getting the godfather set on DVD

I just got an email saying I can't pick the trilogy as my GAD prize because they're out of stock and probably won't be getting any more... Curse that other kid who picked it as his prize before me!

Wrong, wrong, wrong. Almost all sequels have the same set of cirumstances, and a lot have the same main character. So are ALL sequels remakes? I think not, eediot

How do you explain theat Bruce Campbell has no recollection of being in woods before and losing his girlfriend to a fiendish death? Has no recollection of waking the dead(ites) and no recollection of ANYTHING ELSE which happens in the first movie?
The film is class though.
"someone's in my fruit cellar... someone with a fresh sooooouuuuul!!"

True It's not really a remake. However it's not really a sequel either. Evil Dead 2 just pretends that the first film didn't exist (which is just as well because it is a bit cr@p).
I'd definatley say Evil Dead 2 was more of a remake than a sequel, they took the best bits out of evil dead and added a bit of humour and some better effects, and most importantly they made it into a damn good film.
I had to get my copy of Teenwolf imported from HMV in Australia... the only place in the world that had a dusty copy in the corner of a warehouse. I'd been searching for nearly 2 years to get it. It eventually cost me a little over £20... and 2 days after it arrived, it was on channel 5. Irk.
"Often considered to be a remake of the first Evil Dead, however this is not accurate. The rights to show scenes from the original could not be obtained to re-cap what happened, so they recreated the beginning to explain how Ash got to the cabin, a headless Linda, etc."
So there ya go!
