I've done myself an "Old Rock" CD, when I want to sit on ma porch and whittle some.
Bands I hadn't listened to in an age, and you know what?
It rocks, song you know and can sing along with. Ok, so it's veering close to one of those 2am "Greatest Rock Collections Ever" advertised by a robot claw in a scrap-yard, but I don't care.
Tracks are:

Black Sabbath "Paranoid"
Guns N Roses "Paradise City"
Steve Miller "The Joker"
AC/DC "Whole Lotta Rosie"
Aerosmith "Sweet Emotion"
Lynyrd Skynyrd "Sweet Home Alabama"
Led Zeppelin "When the Levee Breaks"
Ram Jam "Black Betty"
Stevey Ray Vaughn "Pride and Joy"
The Clash "London Calling"
Creedence Clearwater Revival "Proud Mary"
Untitled "Spirit In The Sky"
Them "Baby Please Don't Go"

And it's excellent.
Old rock rocks.

Not heard a few of those tunes in a while, some true classics there. Think I will find some CD's worth listening to for my studying tomorrow.

Did you know that Black Sabbath are playing 'paranoid' at the Queen's Jubilee?

"Paranoid" is great, but I prefer "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath". Haven't heard "Black Betty" for *ages* and it's such a good track.

So they're offering nothing for free then. Generous....

I can't remember which one it was, but I remember one advertised on TV recently (an 80s collection perhaps?), which had all the usual predictable stuff on it (good pop songs, but like every other collection). And David Hasselhoff. Well, it made me laugh.
