Well, what if there was someone who didn't post much, but it was all of good quantity. Surely he'd feel a bit niggled, as I'm sure I would feel the same. Surely a simple banning doesn't go amiss?

If newbies don't post then:
1) There will be no more regulars
2) We won't be more important than anyone else!

Sorry, I meant "past".
Perhaps SR should allow people to have some kinda permit to post threads. I.e, if you want to be allowed to start threads you can e-mail SR, and they can look at your post posts and see if you deserve it.
This could be a bad idea, as there a sooo many people on SR now - it depends if they can be bothered :-)
I did start a thread, but nobody replied to it!
