LOL "WE?"
Fanboys...when will they learn?
Xbox is larger than the other consoles so the games must be pap
PS2 looks like an 80's stereo slashed with a chainsaw so it's bad.
Now think what kind of person would write this:
If you don't know please leave,
If it's you please leave before I make you
If you don't care, then good you shouldn't
That is all...

Well it is coming out on Gamecube and Ps2 it was announced at E3 and it's also in the Official Nintendo Magazine as coming out in 2003. So I don't know where you heard otherwise.

I think you wont find they're complaining most of them are more likeley joking around about the size. I know some idiot do go on about it though, you just have to ignore them.

I totally agree, Shenmue is an amazing game.

just been checking up on it... on gamespot.com and yeah you're right it's only on xbox and pc...
but on gamefaqs.com it says that it's coming out on the ps2, gc, xbox and pc...so therefore at one point it must have been planned for other consoles.

hmmm...i'm sure i read in a ps2 magazine recently...doesn't bother me if it is only out for the xbox and pc...seeing as i have both.

i'm sure many s**t*pid people have but i'm pretty sure that people like tiltawhirl and totoro and other good (ninty) forum users haven't -which is what i was going on about...of course i could be wrong.

yes that's the point i've been going on about..it's all about personal preference...now if people can accept that then none of these s**tupid arguments or comments like "
Never owned a dreamcast and never played shenmue so i don't really know what it is like.
Where have you been, there are loads of Ninties that complain about the size of the Xbox.
I loved Shenmue and even with titles like Halo, GTA3, Rougue Leader I still prefer this game to any other! This is only my opinion as I can understand how easy it is to get bored of it.

i haven't actually heard any ninties (or rather good forums users such as tiltawhirl or totoro) say that xbox is rubbish cos it is big. and i have heard many xbox fans say st*pid things based on the appearance of the gamecube as well...

i have to agree and yes i have been looking at other games as well.

have seen it and it's also coming out on the gamecube and ps2 as well...it'll be good to see how the three versions compare.

have to disagree...the graphics aren't THAT great...they were good for their time but not that spectacular anymore...the textures were very plain.
Have

there was plenty of slowdown in shenmue...esp when 10 people were on screen at once. and also people would sorta pop out of thin air from about a meter away from Ryo esp noticeable in Dobuita. nevertheless it was impressive for the time.
gameplay wise shenmue1 was REALLY dull in my opinion- run from A to B...and then back to A....then you get sent off to C. maybe you get the odd qte in the mix as well....but the problem with them is that firstly they weren't hard and secondly if you did mess it up it just got looped round so it didn't matter whether you got it right first time or not. as for the job...forklifting crates hardly seems very exciting and as for forklift truck racing...well that was VERY SLOW and boring.
fighting was okay but there weren't enough and also it was too easy.
shenmue 2 is better...has a lot better pacing although i found teh last disk a big disappointment...and there is A LOT more slowdown

agreed :D

EXACTLY but that's all down to personal preference...i mean you can take shenmue for example...i found it a rather boring and dull experience...but people like nomad_soul love it...which is good for him :D
Gameplay does count a lot but it is nice to
> have a game that has a bit of *EYE CANDY* don't you agree?
i far prefer gameplay to graphics...which is why i like playing the good ol SNES rpgs such as chrono trigger etc
With little time to really enjoy the missions, I felt pushed to go for the medals which became very frustrating with some levels being pretty long only to deny me a gold medal because of being 1 kill short or 2 seconds out on the time limit.
It has its good points of course, but for me it certainly isn't the perfect Star Wars experience. I'm looking forward to the likes of Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic and Star Wars: Galaxies as although they come under a different genre to Rogue Leader, they look they are going to offer an excellent Star Wars experience.
Its ashame that things never seem to go well with Star Wars games. They are either very poor or the ones that are nice to play have faults elsewhere like the points I just made about Rogue Leader.

Yes, I thought you made some very good points. I found them fair too, seeing as I favour the GC. Rogue Leader's a matter of opinion, though. Personally, I can't stop playing it, and none of my friends can either, 'cause it's so fast and unpredictable. I have found others though that think like you, and some that aren't bothered.
All in all though, a nice unbiased point on the console wars.
