But my brother got Wave Race through the post this morning so it's not all bad.
Anyway, since I won;t have it till Monday at the very earlist now, I want you (if you own or have played the game) to wet my appetite.
Basically praise the game.
Well a good question first would probably be has anyone actually played it?
Oh well, roll on Monday evening when I get home :D

Soul Calibur was never just a button basher. Sure you could play it just bashing all the buttons, but if you were a good player and knew the moves, then a newcomer could never beat you by just hitting the buttons.
I'd like to point out that I was unbeatable with Maxi! And I'm also just as talented with nunchuks in real life, as he is in the game. :-D
Tekken 4 may be good (and it is, i've played the import), but at the end of the day, it's just a fancy looking button masher. Granted, Christie is absolutely gorgeous, and if I was in the game, we wouldn't be fighting, but regardless of asthetics, it's not quite the art that VF4 is.
Virtua Fighter is unique. In short, it's the Pro Evolution Soccer, the Metal Gear Solid or the HALO of Fighting games... It can't be beaten for depth, playability and flare.
Soul Calibur 2 will probably be amazing, but it, like Tekken as i've said before, is still a button masher - there's very little skill involved. I'm not saying there's no skill, but if you want a REAL challenge, get VF4 - Tekken 4 is just another Tekken game, but VF4 takes the franchise to new levels... the A.I, The graphics, the differenciation in character move fluidity, and what-not.
I haven't played them both for long enough to know all the ins and outs, but i'd recommend VF4 over Tekken anyday. It's simply a better fighting game... there's more variety, it's more realistic the graphics are a touch better and in general - it rules!
Game
Prisoner of War, Dropship, Medal of Honour: Frontline are games which I want before anything else at the moment.
