But my brother got Wave Race through the post this morning so it's not all bad.
Anyway, since I won;t have it till Monday at the very earlist now, I want you (if you own or have played the game) to wet my appetite.
Basically praise the game.
Well a good question first would probably be has anyone actually played it?

This dude has got to be the greatest video games character of all time. I must confess, VF4 is the first Virtua Fighter game I have ever played (being a devout disciple of Street Fighter 2 ) and it's pretty much what I expected ie well-polished but still based on easily forgettable button sequences. Except for Shun Li, man, this guy's the Don... an old Chinese drunken herb collecting monk-ninja! I'm gonna test my new found Shun-Li falling-over skills down at the local Arcade...

First impressions, very good, a new set of fighters to get to grips with, loads of options, fighting controls similar to Tekken (or any other fighting game you care to mention) although I can see it's going to take me a while to get the guard bit right as I still keep defending by going backwards.....oh well, practice makes perfect!
Still mightily impressed and loads more to explore, going to take a while with this but at least my PS2 fired up first time after its rest.
So I plugged back in Wave Race.
Still, it seems to be the best fighter since Soul Calibur and I've not really even started playing it yet. Certainly more impressed than I was with Tekken Tag, that's for sure.
