I've had this on claim for a while now and my excitement has sky-rocketed in the last few days. I was hoping to recieve it Friday but didn't, and then this morning I was disappointed again.

But my brother got Wave Race through the post this morning so it's not all bad.

Anyway, since I won;t have it till Monday at the very earlist now, I want you (if you own or have played the game) to wet my appetite.

Basically praise the game.

Well a good question first would probably be has anyone actually played it?

Rah! Shun Li!
"baaaa-me-li-me-na-shueei"

This dude has got to be the greatest video games character of all time. I must confess, VF4 is the first Virtua Fighter game I have ever played (being a devout disciple of Street Fighter 2 ) and it's pretty much what I expected ie well-polished but still based on easily forgettable button sequences. Except for Shun Li, man, this guy's the Don... an old Chinese drunken herb collecting monk-ninja! I'm gonna test my new found Shun-Li falling-over skills down at the local Arcade...

I got my copy today and at first looks, it looks absolutely brilliant. The graphics are great and the speed of the game is quite fast. The modes are quite easy to understand but i haven't got to grips with the A.I kode yet. I'm doing okay on the Kumite mode and the edit mode is quite good aswell, sahame that it takes a while to change the colour of your characters clothes etc. I think that it's a great game for any fan of the previous titles or if you are a fan of Tekken and can't wait 'til the next Tekken title is released.

Well I managed to get about an hours worth of play last night what with watching TV and other stuff.

First impressions, very good, a new set of fighters to get to grips with, loads of options, fighting controls similar to Tekken (or any other fighting game you care to mention) although I can see it's going to take me a while to get the guard bit right as I still keep defending by going backwards.....oh well, practice makes perfect!

Still mightily impressed and loads more to explore, going to take a while with this but at least my PS2 fired up first time after its rest.

Well I got my copy this morning and I have played it for half an hour or so. It seems pretty good but for some reason, I just don't feel like playing a beat'em up.

So I plugged back in Wave Race.

Still, it seems to be the best fighter since Soul Calibur and I've not really even started playing it yet. Certainly more impressed than I was with Tekken Tag, that's for sure.

Ok welcome to the SR forums just a few notes for you.

1. This is the PSx/PS2 forum not gameboy, there's a forum there for this post.

2. Try checking out gamefaqs.com they are usually very helpfull for walkthoughs and FAQs.

Good luck with whatever you find out.
