And how did I get this you ask, well my bro's friend got it from Thailand along with Showtime, Black Hawk Down, Blade2 and Thirteen Ghosts.
My god Resi Evil is excellent. If you're not a fan of the games you may not like it as much though. The laser room scene is absolutely amazing and the effects are really good but it's a little cheesey when Milla Jovovich kicks the dog in the head in bullet time.
The ending leaves a complete opening for a sequel and i've already read that they're preparing for a second.
You must see.

Is it good??? I have to say it's great! The CGI are fantastic, there IS a storyline and it has to rate up there as one of the best horror films in recent years.
As far as being a game adaptation it again shines a bright light where most others recently have burnt out before the proverbial "hype ashes" have even cooled (Mortal Kombat, Tomb Raider, Street Fighter...)
Comes highly recommended!

Firstly, nice name! Anyhow, as I have Resi on [ahem], I'll give you the low-down. Yes, the film (not movie, you Yankers! ;D) is bloody amazing, and anyone who likes that sort of film, Resi fan or not should see it. The laser scene is my favourite out of the whole lot. It's more than what I expected, and a bloody surprise to what happens. Without spoiling it, it shows the CGI effects of the film at their best, as they fill in what acting can't do, and it does it well.
Oh, and about the 'guy sitting in front of you at the cinema' thingy, I got a pirate of Jurassic Park once like that, from some foreign country or something. It was the poorest copy of pirate I've ever seen! ;D
