War Poem
Shellfire destroying your brain with its droning sound
Over the top of the trench cries of pain are heard
Life is not worth living anymore
Die die die the enemy shout.
In the trench is where they suffer
Enter Death hovering above the soldiers
Rations are becoming scarce
Skies are overcast with gloom
In come the rats ready to take the precious rations
No one expects to leave the battleground alive
Women worry for their husbands at home
On lives the spirits of the soldiers
Rats are becoming bigger and are growing in numbers
Love is what the soldiers need
Death will come sooner rather than later
When will it all stop
Artists could not paint the picture with enough
gratitude to the soldiers at war
Rage is inside the soldier’s heads
Only a miracle could stop them from being killed
No one is safe from what lies behind they enemy lines
Entire families ripped apart….
The soldiers will always be remembered

You should do, it's an easy GCSE, and A-level. Most people opt for Geography instead, but History's waaaaaay more interesting and it's easier. Trust me on this one.
