After almost a year of sifting through all the acessories at my local games store I managed to get my grubby little mits on a N64 Exspansion pak!

Allthough it's second hand it will hopefully still do the Job!
I'd like to know one or two things about it though!

How much of a difference does it make when playing games like exitebike64 or Re-Volt?


Also I have an Action Replay Cheat Cartridge andas I now have the Exspansion pak I can now acsess the In-Game AR menu! I would like to know how to activate it!

I have the AR V. 1.12

I think it's quite an old version so I might get myself an Xploder cartrige.

I did have the xploder one at one stage but I took it back when I realised you couldn't use its full potential without a exspansion pak.

So now that I have one I might buy it back!

The expansion pak doesn't make too much of a difference in my opinion.

To activate the ingame menu, used for hacking codes for the game you're playing, press the AR button which is on the cartridge itself.

There are some games like Rogue Squadron and Army Men that say they need it for some features but arn't improoved at all, it's definatly needed for Perfect Dark and Donkey Kong I think? as you can't buy the game without it (the cheapest way to buy the expansion pak) it's just good to have one in your machine, I think it crashed my N64 when I was playing Zelda OoT once, no idea how that happened.

The best thing to do is buy a next gen console. I offer free, impartial advice. Please, have a look.

Expansion Pack? LOL what a waste of time, I got one bundled with Donkey Kong 64 to play Perfect Dark and It doesn't make much difference, get yourself a decent AGP graphics card and the roms then gaze in amazement at the graphics.

The Ocarina of Time is an epic game; i am still awed by it.

Whoa! Give this guy a break, he was just kidding around, we could easily call the whole post a pile of spam...just cool it ok?

BTW, Zelda Majora's Mask requires the expansion pack; it's a good game but not quite as classic as OOT.

I'm just lonely. I was going to get perfect dark, but even now to get it and an expansion pak costs 50 to 60 quid.
