I suppose the official Sony Card is the best, but where on the net or in shops is the cheapest place to buy one. Also are the 16 MB cards any good? i've heard they are nightmare to use as you have to boot up a disc before hand?????? is this true?

I really wouldn't bother with anything other than an official one. They're notorious for losing save data, and that negates any value from the lower price or extra capacity.

I've heard quite a few bad things about the 16mb memory cards too.

MY advice would be to buy an 8mb memory card. I've seen non-official ones in SR as well as HMV and Dixons for £19.99. I think some are made by "Mad Catz" or something....

I wouldn't worry too much about not having 16mb. I've got quite a few games and in some of them, like FIFA 2002 and Tony Hawks, I've saved loads of custom teams/tournaments and custom skaters. I have a Sony 8mb memory card and the last time i checked i still had loads of space left on it.

I've only ever heard bad stuff about the 16mb cards, not compatible with all games, corrupt or lose your saves....

Stick with official mem cards, or go for the slightly cheaper MadCatz card which is licensed by Sony.
