Yes the official dvd remote comes with a disc that updates your dvd player, with added features like 3 difference fast forward speeds, but it takes up about 2.5 MB. :(
It pays to look around and see what deals are being offered.

I've not seen it in any shops for less than £27.99. You're best off getting it from SR.
