I have just been told something by a friend which I want to share. I promise you I am not posting this just for kicks or to start malicious rumours. I make no claims as to its reliability, apart from the fact that I am 100% sure that this friend has no interest in console wars or rumour-mongering. He's not really even a 'gamer' himself.
There have been many rumours about Rare lately, and this is another. I'm not sure if this has been mentioned. If it has, I haven't seen it, and so I apologise now.
A friend of this friend apparently works for Rare (something which I never knew and cannot vouch for), and allegedly it "seems increasingly likely" that Rare are about to be bought out by Microsoft.
Remember that Nintendo don't own Rare - the brothers who founded the company own 51% of the shares - a controlling interest. If they were to sell to Microsoft, who knows what would happen.
Again, for those with short memories - I am not claiming that ANY of this is true. It is purely rumour/hearsay/speculation, but the source - unofficial though it may be - would seem to me to be 100% reliable.

> I can't see Rare's games appealing to the typical Xbox owner though.
Probably because they can't handle REAL games and would rather play some cheap cash in made by Microsoft e.g bloodwake, what a load of cack that was.
*sigh* i'm now starting to go on about meaningless cack as i am insanely bored, probably from being away from my GC for a whole 5 hours, da mn I love that console! ah well... *go's off to mash keyboard wif fase for no apperent reason* jhfdogijps;rh
