I can't believe your comparing the x flop to the gamecube. I mean the only game mentioned for the x flop is halo, and i trust you that it's a superb game, but what other good game are there? And the gamecube IS broadband enabled aswell. And the other features for the xbox do not matter to a games console, and if your a hardcore gamer like me you won't care that it has a hard disk and dvd player and stuff. 'cos that's just a p.c. And x box owneres have bought a p.c. without any games and no internet at the moment sounds fun eh? I dare any x box owner to name 10 good games for it. its been out for over a month now. and i think there must be over 1000 games flooded into the market . Whereas the gamecube being out for under a week has got more class in the mere launch titles, except for universal studios lol.

I own a PS2 and an Xbox, and I have played on a friends Gamecube.

If you have to choose - my advice would be to get a PS2. But if you're limiting yourself to only Xbox or Gamecube, my advice would definitely be to go for the 'cube.

trust me, I own a Gamecube and I can't praise it enough, as long as you buy the right games with it to start off with, i'm sure you will be quite impressed by it, I bought Wave Race Blue Storm and Star Wars Rouge Leader and i've hardly been able to tear myself away from it since, the graphics in Wave Race and Rouge Leader are Revelutionary, the gameplay is unlike any gameyouve ever played before, and they will both last you for a good few months, which by that time Super Smash Bros Melee will be out (a real AAAA title) and a while after that Resident Evil Biohazard, and a whole lineup of class games following after that each week, you can't go wrong!

If you are really love games then this is the console for you, don't be fogged off by cheap imatations that claim to be games consoles *cough* PS2 and XBox *cough* go for the REAL games console, go for the GAMECUBE and you WILL NOT be dissapointed. {:)

What? £130 + £15= £145 That is £55 less than Xbox that is a LONG way off the price of an Xbox if working on a budget.

Yeah because soooo many people are in broadband enabled areas.

You have obviously never played super monkey ball. I would say it kicks Halo's ass, and thats saying something considering they are of different genres.

Some truth in this.

An extra £50 insn't that much for what you're getting with the xbox. It's more expensive but much better VALUE.

I will not take back my view about xbox having the best games. In my opinion it does.

And has Halo been confirmed for release on PC? If so you are gonna need one hell of a PC to run it. In fact the price paid to upgrade your PC to play it will be more than an xbox itself.

Nah, it's still way more expensive.

Don't say things like the games are the best or Nintys/Sonies will rip you apart...you should know that by now!

True, but I can play Halo on my PC in August and I have had Max Payne for over a year...you just won't see Rogue Leader on anyother system.

Tis' true.

Gee, it has got to be an xbox, no question in my view.

The GC is good, don't get me wrong it's just aside from Resident evil nothing as interested me so far. And add a memory card onto the price of the system and it around £150, not too far off the price of an xbox.

And with an xbox you get:
Unbelievably great, powerful system which as a hard Drive, and is also broadBroadband enabled. But more importaint than that, the games are the best.

Xboxs' launch games interms of content, quality and range was the best yet seen. The GCs in comparason was week as Rogue Leader is the only must have game.

As for PS2? Im sorry but it just seems dull, dull, dull beside the other two consoles.

But thats just my opinion.

Buy which system that has the games you want. You won't go wrong with either.

Then spend the spare £50 on 100 plectrums! Problem solved!
