I'll make this as simple as i can:
Dreamcast came out to early and is obviously underpowered.
PS2, once superior now looks slightly less amazing.
Gamecube, it's ugly and a pointless compromise between the powerful X-Box and the commercial PS2.
X-Box-By the time this comes out Sony would have started breathing rumors of another console.
The truth is there are too many. None of them are going to domminate the market as playstation has. All will have their pros and cons, and i know that there are plenty of people who aren't going to bother with any of them.
I will be buying a PS2 purely because i have faith in Sony to satisfy, will i regret this move? We will see. I have a clear picture of the next couple of years in the games industry, consider all my points and i think you will see where i am comming from. Thanks for reading.
Havok breaks loose on Xbox - [X-Box]
Reported by Jayne Bowen
Havok, a leading name in real-time physics technology, is working with Microsoft to provide Xbox developers with its expertise in the field.
The technology allows developers to incorporate physical simulation into games, creating attributes such as rigid and soft body, fluid, cloth aerodynamics and particle dynamics.
Tools program manager Drew Angeloff welcomed Havok by saying: “Good game physics provide freedom from scripted motion and repetitiveness, giving the player a deeper sense of reality within a game. It’s great to have Havok’s physics technology as part of the Xbox tools portfolio,”
The Xbox is scheduled for release in autumn 2001
