Yep it is official 10,000 Gamecube's were sold by 2AM on MAy 3rd.

That doesn't mean that 10,000 people were out in the middle of the night buying them! That includes pre-orders. Basically all the stock that Nintendo delivered had been sold by pre-orders or the few people collecting the few last cubes.

Well I'm getting a GC later in the year, so put an extra 1 on that figure.

Is that good or bad?

Either way, it doesn't say much, because the N64 sold far more in it's first week of releas than the PSX did, but lost out badly overall

50,00 pre ordered. But how many more are going to sell now? Thats the question!
