Thats complete crap. I work in GAME and thats not how it works, the consoles that you would have seen were actually left over preorders that get picked up in drips and draps since the midnight launch. We can't sell any to customers who don't have a preorder and when we are asked we are now taking second preorders if that customer is interested. Also... you have to had put a minimum 10 quid deposit down for the original preorder so your 'buy and game and get put down for a preorder for no reason theory) is not true.

You see, many, many people have been saying that they went into a Game or EB store to order a game (for any console), and the guy at the counter signed them up for a GC preorder to. The reason was simply to increase that stores console alotment... meaning there were plenty to go around...

I personally walked into EB in Cov and they had plenty of them. Meanwhile, Gamestation had sold out- just showing the balance in distribution....

Official.

The GameCube has been selling very well in Germany, the base country of Nintendo Europe. According to Nintendo they sold 50,415 consoles within the first days including last Saturday in Germany.

Well, when a console sells 10,000 in 2 hours it's usually regarded as good.

Put a price down and you might have a buyer.
