Some of you (Ant) may have noticed that I have not been posting in this forum as much as I used to. This is because I have lost all interest in the WWF, and wrestling in general. Here are the reasons behind this desicion.

1 - I am no longer taken in by anything that happens in the ring. I know it's fake, and I know exactly how it is done. I can pinpoint the exact moment a wrestler is going to blade. This knowledge means that I no longer 'support' wrestlers - I really don't give a flying fun who wins the matches, as long as they are good.

2 - The WWF sucks. It has no competition, so it can do as it likes without fear of wrestlers (or fans) leaving to another fed. The storylines are rubbish, and gimmick matches overused. Much of the best talent is not being used - there isn't even a decent Tag or Cruiserweight division, for funs sake. Rubbish storylines and Vince McMahons ego are in the way of the actual wrestling.

3 - ECW sucks. I realised that wrestlers were real people after meeting Nova. He told me about how disturbing it was to see the likes of Mikey Whipwreck and Foley deteriorate after the bumps that they have taken. Bleeding does not take skill, it just takes a certain sickness. Likewise with hitting someone on the head with a chair so hard that thier ears bleed. This is my main problem with wrestling in general - it kills the wrestlers, mentally. They screw thier bodies up badly. Look at Jeff Hardy, who can't even work a match anymore.

4 - Benoit has been injured.

I agree with most things but I really enjoyed ECW because of the cruiserweight (sp) matches. ECW was worth watching because of Tajiri, Kid kash, Mikey Whipwreck and Super Crazy. Watching Super Crazy and Tajiri doing martial arts then a stand off was amazing.

I agree, I *hate* the long promos, that's what makes me turn over. I'd much rather see a wrestling match than someone just talking!

Vince is the worst for long and boring promos

The most annoying things in the WWF at the moment are the long boring speeches often followed by long cheers from the crowd. Most of the promos seem to go along the lines of, "I'm better than you," or "I'm the best," or "I'm powerful so I do what I want." It gets a bit boring. As a result the matches are often shorter and feel soulless. Smackdown and Raw on occaisions seem to have turned into adverts for PPVs rather than shows in their own rights.

However despite these bad points an involving match or two or a genuinely entertaining match makes it all worthwhile.

Without a favourite, wrestling doesn't seem so interesting. Scotty's out for a year, and for the first time in a while I didn't watch RAW and the only Smackdown match I watched in full was the main event.

Jericho woz robbed.

I partially agree with number 3, but ECW did NOT suck

It had some great high flyers an some great technical wrestlers. However, it also had lots of pointless "everyone juice themselves ASAP" matches involving New Jack etc

And because ECW was so popular, other feds like CZW, XPW etc are going to even greater extremes. Some of the stuff I've seen in CZW and XPW have made me almost feel ill, it's not wrestling, it's just people cutting each other open with sharp objects. Any moron can do that
